Safety:

We would ask that all boat users including jet skiers observe the speed limit within the harbour area, please be aware children swim in this area.

We strongly recommend that lifejackets be worn at all times, especially children, remember if you fall overboard your boat may well keep going; use a kill cord.

Please take extreme care when refuelling your engine to prevent both fire/explosion and pollution.

Given that most vessels using Maidens Harbour stay within two to three miles of the coast, owners should give serious thought to obtaining a set of orange smoke or hand held flares.

Berthing:

Berths will be allocated by the Harbour Master.

Maidens Harbour Trust reserves the right to move vessels when required.

Any vessel becoming submerged within the confines of the harbour must be refloated within two weeks. If this condition is not adhered to the vessel will be removed by the harbour trust and all costs must be met by the vessel’s owner.

Berthing Fees:

Berthing Fees must be paid before vessel is launched.

Any vessel over wintered and not having paid fees by 30^th October may be impounded until such times as these are paid. If these fees are not paid within six months the ownership of the vessel will deem to have fallen to Maidens Harbour Trust.

Whilst every reasonable effort will be made by Maidens Harbour Trust and it’s representatives no liability can be accepted for conditions or events out with their control, with this in mind we would recommend that all owners obtain at the very least public liability insurance for their vessels.

Responsibility for their vessel remains solely with the owner.
